    Georgetown - 190 against Belmont?
Can somebody explain this to me?

3 seeds have traditionally just dominated 14 seeds to a tune of about 85% winning percentage. Belmont isn't anything special (no wins against quality opponents all season)...why isn't this a bare minimum of -400?

Belmont will win this game. Georgetown is SUPER overrated. Starred this one as a ML upset.

Probably for the same reason Kenpom has Georgetown only winning by 2 with Belmont having a 41% chance of winning outright. Kenpom's formula & Vegas lines are typically pretty close.

shocking, how are these 2 teams so far in seeding if they're really that close in talent level?

I have Belmont winning in one bracket.

In my other bracket I have G'Town going to the sweet 16.

          Hope that helps.

Belmont is a computer darling. We'll find out tomorrow if they are right.

Well, personally, I think Belmont's Kenpom numbers are a bit inflated. Only 4 games versus Top 100 kenpom teams and Belmont went 1-3 with the only win over Marshall. Lost that game by 1 at Cameron and lost to Middle Tennessee, got raped by Memphis.

So, I do think there is value with Georgetown here and my gut tells me they cover the spread, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Belmont pull the upset. One of the better 14 seeds we've seen, I just don't have too many legitimate opponents on their resume for comparison.

                Very interesting/suspect line.

                I'd stay away altogether.

Honestly though, I don't see Belmont winning.

Their best game of the year was a loss to Duke.

Georgetown isn't a finesse team. I think the Hoyas will push them around a little and take this one.

Screw he computer rankings. If they were so great everyone would be rich.

How do people know if Belmont is really any good? They played 2 decent teams (Duke and Memphis), lost 1 close and got blown out in the other game

The rest of their schedule is a complete joke. Is 1 good game in a loss to duke really enough claim that they're legitimate opponents?

Pretty much agree. Belmont winning or Georgetown winning by 10+....neither scenario would surprise me. Much better options on the board.

We don't. We don't know if they aren't any good either, which is why I'm laying off this game. Don't know about Belmont, hell their conference games aren't even lined so I honestly haven't even paid attention to Belmont since out of conference play months ago.

a 3 seed getting only a - 190 is very hard to resist in this situation. I dunno if I'm going to play it but I was shocked to see it so low

I hear ya. Losses to Miami (OH), Lipscomb and South Carolina Upstate aren't exactly inspiring reasons to back Belmont in this game.

for some reason, all the 3 seeds this year are getting ridiculously low moneyline

Marquette is only -250 favorites against BYU, which I thought was absurd. Not only have 3 seeds dominated, but BYU is 0-3 against ranked teams losing those 3 games by an average of about 10 points per game. Marquette is the strongest 3 seed as well so I couldn't believe that line was not around - 400

I'm doing an ML parlay with Marquette, Syracuse and Baylor

i dont like that your putting so much emphasis on georgetown being the 3 seed in that region, be careful. The reality is this midwest region is very weak (its practically a foregone conclusion that kansas faces unc in the elite 8 in this region). Think about it, you got temple as a 5 in this region...lmao. I havent seen belmont play this year i can only go by the numbers. Georgetown has looked un-impressive at times this year. Started the year out hot, they were really shooting well from the outside earlier in the year. I kept asking myself what georgetown team is this thast they can shoot from the outside?, wow! As the year went on their perimeter game took a turn for the worse, i dont know if it was their legs or what but id say halfway through the season they really started to struggle with their outside shooting and started to rely more heavily on other stuff to win games. But their d will almost always show up and pay dividends, but their offense scares me to much. Im staying away from this one, no touch for me

I don't think Georgetown is a bad team. They went 12-6 in a conference that had 10 teams in the tournament and beat 4 teams that were ranked throughout the season

I mean can you really say Belmont wins this game better than 1 out of 3 times?

Belmont played in the tournament last season with same staters. Gut says go with experience.
