I think these 'little' schools should probably be favorites in a lot of the games. VCU, Murray, Beach, a lot of the MWC teams, some A 10 schools, etc are all a lot better than ppl realize.
Also like Long Island and Detroit.

Doesn't winning the tourney guarantee them a spot and not in a play in game?

I don't think winning your conference has anything to do with being in the play in game but I could be wrong.
I also think that we need to quit calling it the play in game because now there are four of those games instead of 1. I wish it would have just stayed at 64.
As for Colorado, they just blew their load and won a JV league. They will probably be content just being in the dance. I don't expect a lot out of them.
I do like LBSU, Murray State, and VCU.

Only problem w/ Beach is how they rely on the 3 ball too much. Ware is a stud tho

With Duke missing their third best player..
FSU will be tough though, with their style of defense.. All depends on the draw and seedings

Detroit has the players to make a run. If they're just satisfied with making it in, thats another story.

If Washington makes it (they probably won't), watch out for them. They got two projected NBA 1st round picks in Terrence Ross and Tony Wroten.

I can think of about 20 other teams that do the exact same thing. You either have a dominant middle guy or you jack up 30 three's a game

The only mid major, or "little" team I take seriously is Wichita St. They have size, speed, outside shooting, and seniors. Are they as good as UNC, Cuse etc, of course not. Nevertheless one game scenario they can beat anyone.

Just wanted to clarify fyi. Just because you win your conference doesn't mean you will not have to win a play-in game. There are 4 play-in games, so 8 play-in teams. 4 of those play in teams come from the "last 4 in" for the tournament. The other 4 are 16 seeds who have to play their way in only to get crushed by a #1 seed, most likely. Teams like VCU, Colorado, New Mexico, Memphis, etc. will not have to play a play-in game. They will be seeded too high. The play-in games will come from 4 bubble teams and 4 winners of SHITTTTY conferences. i.e. teams like Lamar and Seattle.

LBS and Wichita State will both do some damage, in what world is FSU considered a sneaky little school and I will fade Colorado in the first round no matter the opponent/line.

Right now, I'm thinking the four teams in the play-in round are : Vermont, Miss. Valley St., W. Ky., and Norfolk State.
So UNC-Asheville and Lamar I have as the other 16 seeds.

Haven't seen Belmont listed yet -- should be up around the 13 or 14 line...I don't think they're allowed to play in Nashville, but watch out if the committee puts them there. They almost won at Duke this year...

I was also going to post for Belmont when here this morning. The homey in me will be rooting for Harvard and they can win a game, same for Davidson. Also with the anti- Colorado gang here, knocked out in Rd1... WORST PAC 10 group EVERRRrrrrrrrr, they should not even get a representative in. VCU may also go on a run again.

They will probably be around a 6 seed but I think New Mexico has a very dangerous team that could make a deep run.

Both have the same percentage chance of winning a game in the tourny as USC.
