Piss poor coaching there by St. Marys.

First, when will these coaches learn? Ive seen this happen so many times. A team is up 3 with under 5 seconds left and let the guy shoot a 3 to tie it!!! You have to foul there! Common sense goes out the window in crunch time and these coaches play to not lose and hope to hold on to win. Pathetic.

Second, they still had 3.4 left after the shot to call a timeout and set a play to get a good shot off. Sad.

Lost my under on that damn three too. Arrghh.

I think it was a good idea to not call a timeout. Gonzaga's D wasn't as prepared compared to if they would have taken a timeout. They got a great look but he just didnt hit the shot.

Lets be honest here.....there is not much difference in speed between a white guard and a black center. Just saying...

Gonzaga is mentally weak that is the problem and terribly coached. No spacing...Few was actually part of the reason why Pangos turned cold. Gaels were grabbing him early on and Few did nothing to get him an open shot...Pangos is still Canadian however.

Most squares think this every year about WCC teams yet they always seem to advance in the tourney. Look for both St Marys and Gonzaga to cover in the first round.

And Gonzaga had NO timeouts left!... They (St. Mary's) should have fouled and given them two free throws... then make their free throws... the Zags would have had to run the length of the court to get a shot off.
