I may be bitter, but these unathletic teams need to be fundamentally sound to really be legitimate and worth talking about for March... think Butler...

These teams are dumber than the dumb teams like Texas and UCONN, with no talent to boot.

I really think the system needs an overhaul. Gonzaga is a lock for the tournament but would probably have been well under .500 in the Big 10, Big East, or Big 12. As it stands, you are rewarded for loading up wins against teams like San Diego, Portland, and Pepperdine.

the more i think about it the more i like st marys is the right play in my opinion.


I think the difference in this game is in the point guard position, St Mary's has a very experienced Delavadova running the point while Gonzaga has freshmen guard kevin pangos. I think the championship environment will be too much for the freshmen to handle.


Another thing yes gonzaga has looked good but BYU isnt really a good team this year, and the game the gonzaga beat st marys it was at gonzaga and pangos just absolutely lit it up, i don't think that happens this game so St Marys is the play. I'm starting to like this play more and more now that i think about it. Im sure most of you feel like im wrong but well see toms

Sash, you said not to touch the Toledo game with a ten foot pole...Same logic would have got you out of this game. WCC is shady too. They have been known to help out the bubble team. And while everyone says the Gaels were not a bubble team, their resume is really not that much better than it was last year when they were left on the outside looking in....Joke of schedule, no big wins other than the Zags.

Yes, these WCC teams are not bright. Gonzaga has dumb players and coaches...That being said, you guys underestimate the strength of the WCC big time...LMU and USF would be .500 teams in the PAC 12, at least...

Pretty damn good conference this year. Saint Mary's is a little overrated and Gonzaga is a big dumb sleeping giant. It would not surprise me in the slightest if they made the final four, or if they were knocked out in the first round.

The horrible call of the game was that loose ball. Changed everything. Delavedova had a step on Pangos, but Pangos was running at a greater speed. Delly knew this and jumped backwards into him and flailed his arms out, getting the call...

Instead of Zags being up 2, the Gaels would now be up 2.
