Last season... I was only able to analyze basketball games statistically from Jan 21 thru March madness, using the parameters I am using results were great.
This season I was analyzing statistics beginning Dec 1 thru present day. Using the same parameters, the results are very good... but most of the money would have been won in the early weeks, not the most recent weeks.
If I compare this year, the same time period... Jan 21 thru present. The results are only 40% gain vs. significant gains.
My question is should I be analyzing games from the exact same time period or should I not even care what weeks are profitable as long as overall I'm profitable. I am sure I worded the question poorly.
Any thoughts?
