Really want to hammer Purdue +4.5 Sunday
I know the team is in turmoil, but I could also see this as a galvanizing moment. West Lafayette is still an incredibly difficult place to play and the Boilers are a wounded animal, fighting for their NCAA lives. They need a signature win and they were also embarrassed by MSU on the road last month. Very tempted.

Think I have been on PC too long today. Mich St looks too easy of a play even at -4.5

Purdue missing starters, including their best three point shooter. This is not the side you want to be on befor the game starts.

Correction-- West Lafayette USED TO BE a hard place to play. 3-3 in conference at home this year.

        Mich State rolls

Agree-- I'm about to do the same thing

Take out their game at Michigan-- And they've won by 14-17-13-and 5

Don't see how Purdue keeps it close. Barlow off the team for good and Byrd out at least a game. This team was anything but deep to begin with, and now they lose two of their top 5 players. MSU is a must play here.

A Purdue bet is a true gamble/guess. Not sharp by any measurement. You know what to expect out of Mich St, but Purdue is a total unknown. Their best three point shooter, and best athlete are gone so that is a lack of points right there. Who will take their spots? Are they any good? Also, how wil this affect the other starters???????? Purdue tickets go into flames...

I knew you were gonna be the first guy to want to jump all over this. Mich St is probably the squarest bet of the day but it more than likely will cash.

right now this team is absolutely locked in and look what we have here again, freaking Izzo has his team peaking just at the right moment. playing smothering lock down defense and getting scoring from everywhere. plus they owned Due a month ago so they are already in their heads.

with Barlow being out Jackson isnt going to have any time to rest and they are going to need him and Hummel to both go for 20+ if they want to win this game.

this is the game Purdues NCAA tourney hopes will be laid to rest. they have been a fraud all season, never really being a tourney team and imo tomorrow will prove it.

Disagree re: knowing what we'll get from MSU. This team got torched at Northwestern and laid a total egg against a lifeless Illini team on the road not so long ago. Yes they beat Ohio State in Columbus but they've been pretty mediocre away from the Breslin Center in the Big Ten so far this season, which is typical of a Tom Izzo team.

about arrests for public intoxication and suspended players in w. lafayette.
seriously, when there is an environment of outta control boozing, violence, and recklessness
surrounding a program, the discipline necessary to defend homecourt is probably absent.
inclined to agree that the square play on sparty will be straight cash homie.

If Ohio State isn't hitting shots from the perimeter -- like last Saturday vs. MSU or tonight vs. Michigan -- they're far from a Top-10 team. I'm not saying that wasn't an impressive accomplishment for MSU, but it's not like they beat them 90-80. MSU still lacks the take-over scorer and lights-out perimeter shooter to be trusted consistently on the road.

BTW, I'm not trying to be "sharp" here. Sharp plays are only sharp plays after the fact when/if they win. I just like getting Purdue as more than a one-possession dog at home, even with the starters being out.

Michigan State has been known to lose games like this.

Would it really surprise anyone if they lost at Purdue?

I think Purdue could definitely cover here. That being said, I haven't made a wager on this on quite yet. I'm curious as to which way the line will move.
