    Another Louisville Thread
I'm thinking about the big picture in this game. Fact: Syracuse will be a #1 seed come Tourney time. That being said, how many times has there been a 1 loss team in recent years? Especially one from the Big East, a powerhouse conference. Sure they could lose the big east tourney, but even before then, one would expect them to lose at least one game....But against who? Look at their schedule, 6-1 in road games, with the one loss coming at Notre Dame. Road wins: NC St., Depaul, Providence, Villanova, Cinci, and St. John's......Not exactly the toughest road schedule. Out of those wins, the closest margin was 7 at Cinci, who plays good D, but does not have a prolific offense.

Look at their remaining schedule and it's quite favorable after tonight: @ Rutgers, South Florida (home), @ UCONN, and then.....home against Louisville.

Aside from the Notre Dame loss, this will be their toughest road game thus far, and Louisville will be up for it. Did anyone watch Louisville blowout UCONN a week ago? Their offense looked insane. I also watched them come back on the road against a fired up WVU team that was desperate for a win.

This line is not fishy and I think the number is dead on, but my money is on Louisville. I expect Louisville to win outright by 3-7 points and then Cuse will seek revenge at home in the last game of the regular season. I'm not throwing in stats about how many the Card's have won against Cuse and don't want to hear about how much better this Cuse team is than year's past, or that Lang is on Louisville, when the fact is, they haven't had much of a challenge on the road and they are DUE to lose this game on the road in a hostile environment against a team that is licking their chops preparing to try and knock off #2.

Of course, this is gambling, and by no means is Louisville a "lock" b/c there ain't no such thing. I think the smart play here is Louisville and if Cuse wins, then so be it. I'll be taking the points and am considering a ML play as well.
