Why wasn't zenner right up on rivers??

After it got under 5 seconds everyone and their mother knew rivers was fonna pop a 3, why not get right up on him and make him dribble by ya instead of letting him dribble back and forth setting up his feet?

It was pretty obvious. My guess is that he probably had the Duke ML.
