Is Marist +8 a play Friday?

Marist's last 4 games:

Loss at Rider (99-86)
home loss vs. Iona (100-76)
Loss at Canisius (67-57)
Loss at Niagara (86-67)

I personally can't back a Marist team that is horrible on defense and fresh off double digit losses to Niagara and Canisius, against a team that can shoot the 3 and plays scrappy, tenacious defense. If anything I think the spread should be more like 10-12.

I also can't back a road team that appears to be undervalued playing in a MAAC game on Friday night.

You said it best in another thread, you couldn't make me bet this game if you held a gun down my throat...unless of course, Lang identifies the right side in this game.

I locked it in when it went to +8.5. Now at +7.

Don't think Marist will win, but I'm assuming I'll beat the closing number.

Also took Youngstown at +3.

I'm leaning Marist, Youngstown St., Iona & Green Bay

I think Marist wins this one outright by 3 points.
I think Youngstown game should be a PK so I'll take the points with the home dog.
I think Iona wins by 20
I think Green Bay will play Cleve St. tight and probably lose a close game

Turns out that Lang is on Green Bay but Quinn is on Cleve St. So I'm not touching that game...

Lang is also on Manhattan so looks like Marist really is the play!

Right as I was about to hammer Marist line dropped from +8 to +7 and moneyline dropped from +300 to +265

I also think Iona/Rider over 164 is a play, i just don't feel like sweating out that high of a total. Rider is atrocious defensively & Iona is one of those teams that gets backdoored at home on almost a nightly basis. Rider is one of those teams that will foul away in the last few minutes no matter the deficit.

I guess Marist is who we thought they were... I know its only half time but from the look at the box score and their shoot percentages... it would take a miracle for them to cover this spread...

glad i took Manhattan 1H..i saw this one as a classic RLM, fade pub play..but not on friday MAAC...Marist is too garbage to play even getting 8pts...BOL guys..
