Why was this game even scheduled? Apparently Taccoa Falls is a Bible College.....they hold open tryouts for their basketball team.

Pretty much sums it up. Basically a D1 school playing against a mediocre High School team.

How did this matchup benefit either team?

Check out the box score for a good laugh. Only 3 Western Carolina players didn't hit double figures and only because they played the depths of their bench for the entire game after taking a 50-12 lead 10 minutes in.
