I just started betting 1st and second halves with my bookie. If I took Michigan +2.5 the game is 0-0 after half right?

You can look at it that way. Michigan must keep the winning margin above 4 points for the whole game for you to cash.

yep... score is irrelevant. Michigan can't be outscored 3 in second half for you to win. And this is second half only.
