Once again, it looks like Evansville is getting too many points. This looks like an even matchup, I expected this line to be around 3 or 4, accounting for homecourt advantage.
Evansville relies heavily on the 3-ball and one of the Sycamores' weaknesses is defending the 3. Both teams are fairly small and have struggled on the boards against bigger teams. Evansville is also one of the top free throw shooting teams in the nation, which will likely be a factor in what I expect to be a game decided by no more than 3 possessions either way.
I believe Evansville is a live dog here and will be in a position to win this game at the end. They have already won a conference game on the road against a team better than Indiana State in Northern Iowa. The books still don't seem to have caught up to them, this isn't your grandpa's Evansville squad. I'm digging more info on this game.
Other Leans:
Florida State +4.5 at Virginia Tech
La Salle -4.5 at Pennsylvania
Iowa +14.5 at Michigan State
Ball State -5 at Toledo
Georgia at Florida -16
Bradley at Drake -8
Baylor at Kansas State -3
Ohio State at Illinois +9.5
Vanderbilt -3.5 at South Carolina
Northern Iowa +6.5 at Creighton (only because +6.5 road dogs have been absolutely KILLING IT this year. Seems like they've been winning outright at at insanely high rate. )
Any thoughts?
