Ok, 1. Im extremely upset I didn't get ucsb at at least 7.5, had to play it at 7 + juice. Also playing the ml small and teased wash to cover, math was right.

If it is down to -6.5, Washington is the play. They are a good team at home, and they have always been a great home team. Hec Ed is one of the hardest plays to win on the road. UW has lost 3 in a row, but all against good teams on the road. They lost in OT to Nevada, a last second shot to Marquette, and Duke by 6.

Only thing going against UW is they won't have their 7-footer N'ziaye.

I'm going big on Wash -6.5.

Yeah he is out. He's key to their defense. The over should look good too. W/o N'ziaye, Huskies will probably roll with a 4 guard lineup for a lot of the game. Should be a high scoring/high paced game.

Just joined the site! This is my first post. I only started betting this football season - I have had a lot of success, but then blow all of money on one stupid greedy play. Starting with $150, I have made it $700, $805, and $909 during three separate spans. So I have been pretty sharp for several weeks, building my money. Then get ridic stupid. The three big bets that f'd me? 1) South Carolina v. Mississippi, took SC -2.5, SC won by 2. 2)Texas A&M straight up v. Texas, TAM loses in final seconds. 3) Gonzaga straight up v. Michigan State, not even close - Gonzaga loses.

That being said, here are my first public picks (starting on a bad day, too - what is with tonight's games?)

1. Cal -15
2. ECU/UNCG under 140
3. UIC +9
4. Idaho State -2

Here's hoping for a clean sweep on my first public picks!

The Huskies might slide Desmond Simmons, a 6-foot-7 freshman forward, into the starting lineup, or revamp the offense and install a four-guard attack that includes 6-5 freshman Tony Wroten Jr.
Regardless of who starts, the Huskies will be smaller and younger without N'Diaye, a 7-footer and two-year starter.
"They probably will have their advantage on offense having two bigs, but we scrap so hard on defense I don't feel like it's a disadvantage," Simmons said. "I feel like it's more of a positive for us.
"We don't mind scrapping with Terrence (Ross) playing (small forward) and me playing (center). ... We're a group of competitors."
Romar doesn't see the comparisons between UW's current losing streak and last season's slump.
"It's not like that at all," he said. "Nothing close to that. If we would have played Marquette and Duke during that stretch, we would have lost by 30 or 40."
Romar's teams have traditionally struggled early in nonconference road games, thrived at home and finished with a flurry, securing an NCAA tournament berth in six of the previous eight seasons.
"Unfortunately," he said, "we have gone through this before."
The Huskies' last loss at home against a nonleague team was March 14, 2008, when they fell 72-71 to Valparaiso in the first round of the College Basketball Invitational.
Washington is 66-5 in nonconference home games under Romar, who needs another victory for win No. 200 with the Huskies.
I still see the Huskies scoring at least 75 tonight...the over 151 might be the play though.
