Detroit is a decent team thats coming off a good home win against St. Johns

I live in Kalamazoo and have watched Western play and they are AWFUL. Are still yet to win against a Div I school

Can someone give me some input as to why the line isn't higher? I know Western won last year against Detroit but they are much worse this year and are going into Detroit.

Rivalry game for WMU. Couple of their players transfered to Detroit after playing at WMU. Also, its possibly the last game of this series after matching up year after year. For another couple players from WMU, it'll be returning home to play in Detroit (their hometown). I'm hoping for a physical back and forth game between the two. Detroit coming off an enthusiastic win over St Johns and WMU coming off a huge win over a Div III team. Edge IMO to Detroit but I like WMU to keep it competitive and possibly get a 1H cover.

Careful on the 2H bet. This is Detroit's 4th game in 8 days w/ Alabama and Miss St up next. Not trying to deter you from your Detroit bet but they don't have much of a bench, 3 deep averaging about 10 pt/g total. They may start to show fatigue if this games goes down the wire.

They aint really decent just kinda athletic, smart teams with good coaches beat these type teams by double digits every time out.

I'm pretty sure Western Michigan was the preseason pick in their league. They return the vast majority of a decent tear. They haven't looked good yet but against top talent that was to be expected. The St. Johns win proves nothing, because they are also athletic and play stupid. I'll be fading Detroit for quite some time until they prove otherwise

The message we are trying to convey is that if you factor in these teams strength of schedule, neither team is better than the other. If Detroit played the same teams WMU has plyed then they would share the same record. Other than STJ, Detroits wins are hollow an best.
