Reason I am "competent" is because I played on one of these Big Ten teams, graduating 3 years ago, I am still familiar with the league and what goes there. So holla if ya need me!

Ah I just saw bold letters. Well, thing is, I am currently only able to bet with local bookies in my country, and they do not offer Big Ten. I am trying to create an account online, but it is quite difficult with the CC I have (American cards, won't let me use it on gambling sites). Until I get European CC, I will not be betting online, therefore not betting on BT. Still willing o try and help out though.

I think this means what the hell are you getting at in this post? If you've got this "inside info" and insight into the Big10 just post your plays on the board an let people see them. Otherwise we can only assume you are going to have people PM you and then you are going to try to have them give you some $$$$ for your "inside info".....in which case you arent really welcome here

"Dude", I am new on this forum, wasn't even aware they had odds here. William Hill only offers few games tonight, none of which include Big Ten teams. Not sure why you are posting here since you obviously think I am fraud/unintelligent.

I'm actually in the proces of opening euro CC and then I will be bale to bet directly. I didn't like the ** idea because of the complications with withdrawals. Withdrawing back to my CC is the easiest way.
My bank won't allow deposits to websites such as Monebookers, etc, so that won't work either.

Just saying I played there until recently and may be able to help, since I can provide some information such as what gym is awfully hard to play in etc. I didn't follow most BT teams religiously this season which is the reason I didn't know there were no games tonight.

The reason you are getting this reaction is because your initial post and subsequent posts (until the last few) were all very sketchy. Anyone that is as new to the site as you are that makes a post as vauge as ur initial one while claiming to have played in the Big10 3 years ago is going to be views suspiciously and as a probably tout.

To the average person on this board they would see that post and think a few things....namely, why would someone with inside connections to Big10 teams randomly come on a sportsbetting forum telling people he can give them his information and insight into Big10 games, if that person doesnt even know (and can't figure out) when Big10 teams are playing and what the line is.

Any post like this is gonna get the same reaction....I'd consider re-wording things a bit

I do understand why people are suspicious, that's why I'm saying that I am not guaranteeing anything. What's the worst case scenario? I'm a fraud and I waste some bandwidth. Best case? I can help people win some money.
As I mentioned, I did not know schedules or odds because I bet locally and not online, and wasn't aware that I can even bet on BT. The only online bookie I ever visit is WilliamHill and they didn't offer any BT when I looked.
Finally, yes, yes it does sound strange that a former BT player would come to a betting forum. I graduated, stopped playing, got masters degree, and am currently looking for jobs. I bet on soccer a lot and I found this place looking for betting tips. When I saw NCAAB forum, I jumped in.

I agree, it is not that easy to predict non-conference play because teams are still developing plays, strategies, and even lineups. Conference is when it counts. Although, teams like OSU, MSU, Michigan and Wisconsin already have to worry about records so they can get a good bid in the tournament (and maybe even PSU if they're looking to get in again!). Looking forward to discussions.

you definitely should not reveal who you are. there is no reason to, and there's tremendous downside, particularly for a young guy with a grad degree looking for a job and who has a name associated with college sports. last thing you need is your name tied to anything involving gambling in a forum that google easily searches. square world doesn't understand (and perhaps that's for the better).

Welcome to the forums Eko

Understand that there are jokers joining these forums almost every week claiming to have ties to the mob, inside information, or whatever. Therefore, most people claiming something on their first post are going to be met with resistance. Don't take it personal, but rather a result of the state of the forums.


With that being said, I am not sure what your Big Ten info from 3 years ago will help a whole lot with handicapping games, especially since you don't have a grasp on the lines and other things that have been mentioned. Anyway, not trying to pile on, but just being honest in both directions.
