A lot of people saying what if Tenn cant get up for this game after deflating losses to Duke and Memphis...There is a flip side to that where you actually play better after hanging with the big boys when no one thought you would - "we took it to duke and memphis pre season top 10 teams and we are going to pound this oakland team that isnt on our level"...

I didn't say i was big on oakland. The line moved from -3.5 to -1.5 tennesse and 75% of the public money is on tenn. Somebody somewhere is betting heavy on Oakland. That's all it means

Tennessee isn't anything special. Everyone seems to be in love with them. Why? I can't find one legitimate angle in taking the Vols in a true road game with RLM working against them.

facing duke and memphis (hanging in both games) certainly constitutes being battle tested. i loved oakland last year, as i backed them on tons of occasions. not with benson gone.

im not playing them but i do think their guards match up well, Hamilton is a prime time player (kid can ball), even tho they havnt been shooting well to start the season...that said they are incredibly lacking on the inside and i worry how they matchup down low, combine those concerns with the revenge i would think the vols have on their mind i couldnt play oak...

my only take was playing ten-4 or -3 when it was being discussed was not a good long term investment, at the same time i agree with you that playing oak at the current line isnt any better..


im with you, not a fan of the "sharp", "square", "circle" talk either. i see value in a line i have set differently and play it when the opportunity presents itself period

All day was leaning towards taking the vols but in the end I said Im not fuking getting buried on this shit and took oakland. I love to root against Tennessee anyway so it made it much more enjoyable for me.
