    Should I Hedge?
Got Georgetown/Memphis Over 142 on last leg of parlay.

    Wanting some insight..

I really feel like both these teams can shoot so I expect a high scoring game, but somebody may know more than I do...

hedge it and walk away with the profit. who cares if it goes over, just guarantee yourself some $ bud, that way you dont have to worry about something ridiculous happening for you to lose on this last play lol

well how much are we talking here, I mean you could always bet on bothsides of a line and get a win but thats not the way to do it. I would be interested to know how much you could win and more importantly maybe, the percent of your bankroll in relations to the bet

I went ahead and hedged it at under 144.. so I could in fact middle the books here and win on both sides haha

That would be getting EXTREMELY lucky.

and it would HAVE to be 143..

              one can always wish though

                I have to admit...

I really like being able to watch this with no pressure. It has been a great game so far

                  Yes it is.

I would really like to hear the $ numbers wise to learn how you hedged the game...
Can you tell us what was the Risk/Win for the parlay? and how much did you hedge out ?

                  Thanks and congrats !

It was a pretty big Parlay for me. 200 to win 520. (2 team parlay)

So on the hedge I went 330 to win 300

Original bet (if 2nd bet loses) - 190$ Profit
2nd bet (if original loses) - 100$ Profit

If Both win (middle) 720$ Profit

yeah, Ok so in your situation I'd say it looks like you shouldn't have played the Parlay...

Think about it, if you just went straight forward and bet 100 or 200 whatever, on the first play, you would get the same $$ you would get after the hedge... so what was it good for? only way it can be GOLDEN is if you hit the middle! and that would be SWEET!
Rooting for you for 143 final score..!

What's the point of playing a TWO TEAM PARLAY if you're just going to hedge? I could see if this was a 4 or 5 team, but TWO?

on most occasions, I wouldn't. For some reason I was second guessing myself a lot..

I have ignored my gut instinct a lot before and it come back to haunt me.
                          Better safe than sorry.

We all get that guy feeling time and again in in this case if I felt really strong going the other way I would probably over bet the other options(basically swining to the otherside instead of hedging. If its just that you lost a couple 2 team parleys maybe play them seperatly or just go for it, and if this is a huge huge bet for you (bankrole percentage) Maybe do like 1/3 on the parley and add another parley or put the other 2/3 on the team you feel strong about. Just some ideas
