How about Bama/Under or Purdue/Over? .. Those are the two scenarios that I can seeComment -
Purdue lost a lot from last year but got the big man in Hummel back. They do not play great defense and I'm sure Alabama is not going to want to run and gun. Look for Alabama to not make a move towards the basket with more than 15 seconds on the shot clock and do their best to stop the fast break. For these two to happen this is how the game will break:
Alabama is not going to be sending a lot to the rim so they are going to have to take high percentage shots, Purdue meanwhile will try and move Hummel out on the perimeter and abuse his height and ability to work outside the 3 pt line. If Alabama can figure out Hummel this should be something like a 67-61 game.Comment -
Personally, I like Bama/Under. I think Bama's inside game and defense trumps Purdue's 3-point shooting and lack of size. Bama will slow the game down and minimize Purdue's opportunities. Bama's big guy (Glover, I believe?) will then take over the inside.
