at home, returning a lot of their leading scorers... Late Game for CS Northridge


A lot of factors pointing for Hawaii.. anybody else have a better feel for it?

I like the +13.5

I dont think northridge will win but they played usc tough and usc is a lot better than hawaii. Hawaii lost a lot of their incoming recruits due to academic ineligibility and had to fill the holes with lesser recruits right before the season. I expect hawaii to take a game or two to gel and start working good together.

Hawaii played 4 games in China and 1 in Japan playing against their pro teams before anyone played one preseason game. Shaquille Stokes, freshman from NY is a top prospect. Expect him to get game time with the ability to drive the ball and shoot from outside. He did his share of scoring I believe. Granted they didn't take their whole team to China but I doubt it'll be a detrimental factor. Watch for Stokes and Johnson to light up on offense and Vander Joaquim defending the paint. Northridge has 9 freshman and 6 sophmores out of their 18 man roster. I like Hawaii at home here.

Hawaii will try to push the ball. Northridge will try to trap and mix up full court defense. Hard to say without first watching the 1st half. Depends on how well Hawaii handles the press. Without an experienced point guard for Hawaii I expect some sloppy plays pushing the ball. 1H under or no play IMO. I will be watching for any advantages in the 2nd half for sure.

I bet Hawaii every year and they never fail me at this time of the year with these early morning games. I watched that USC vs CSUN game and it was more of SC not playing good Bball. They are having their share of issues being consistant and it showed again tonight as they lost to Neb in double OT. I still like HI in this spot.
