I think it's the simple fact that we're midway through every team's regular season record. Inconsistencies in numbers and trends are ironed out a little. It's just like watching practically any movie--by midpoint you can predict what's going to happen. Sounds vague and stupid, but it's part of it. And becoming less paranoid about betting-side percentiles and slight line movement helps in the long run.
