Hofstra vs Florida St -7 3:30 EST
This game is really interesting to me. We have one of the least experienced teams (FSU), going up against one of the most veteran squad in the nation. FSU as you all know is crazy talented this year, but I'm always hesitant with a young team's first neutral site/road game of the season. Thames prob won't be affected, but he won't be able to do it himself. Hofstra can move the ball and play very smart, the problem is FSU has so much more athletes.
I actually am probably higher on coach hamilton than most, but they always seems to drop a few games like this, and play huge and bigger name opponents. Virgin Islands sometimes can become more of a vacation feel to a young squad like this, especially in the opener and against a small school.
Hofstra won 20 last year and are going to take a big step forward this year imo, I think they will win the CAA and make the dance.
Going to be intresting to see how the freshman stars Bacon (Oak Hill) and Beasley, start off in this game.
Im gonna keep an eye on this, as I really want to bet Hofstra, maybe a 1H split incase FSU puts it together late. Yeah FSU could blow the doors off but I smell upset here...
Anyway just a few early thoughts, Maybe public pounds FSU and we get better line... Most likely I'll have atleast a unit on Hofstra in some fashion...

man, its still depressing breaking down a vcu game w/o shaka even though coach wade should fill in nicely. shaka is one of my favs as im sure you know by now. Duke might take a while to gel this year, and that's alot of points on neutral. I'd say duke or nothing. Most likely the later for me.
I'll look into a lil more, I haven't really got into the x n o of that matchup....Comment -

Frank Martin's team is on the rise and Depaul is a great match-up for them. They won't give up many 2nd chance points and should force a sloppy young back-court into countless turnovers, while they in turn, take great care of the ball. I always like to back Frank Martin in these early tourneys I believe last year we scored a nice ml win over Baylor. You know the effort is gonna be aces.
I think they cover the 7, but its a lot of points on neutral, so gonna take a more conservative route here and find a way to back door this parlay later while locking in profit if they do in fact cover the number. Also this way if they win by 6 or less we can still profit of this game.
Programs going in different directions here and Coach Martin has his first senior class, coupled w/ some nice young freshmen...Comment -

The Bulldogs are better than their showing yesterday as Miami just blitzed them. They have the edge on the glass here and are better from the line. They should be embarrassed from yesterday blow out and hungry to make up for that.
Tubby had a week to prep for Utah and they battled them to the end. I don't think utah covered until the last free throw of the game. When you play utah its wears on you especially with this quick turn around. Adding to the fact you study'd all week trying to get a resume building win vs ranked opponent.
The star Freshman Malik Newman should be more comfortable in his 2nd game, and Ware is a monster down low. I'll take the dog here for a unit.
