College Basketball is right around the corner. This is the official MVC Conference info page. As many may know I am a huge Sycamore fan and they made the NCAA Tournament last year. Soon I will be posting a ton of information on the Indiana State squad for bettors to use.

Northern Iowa suffered their biggest blow last season when losing biggest recruit, Doug McDermott. McDermott ended up at Creighton where his father got the head coaching job. Doug averaged 14.2 ppg. UNI is returning Kwadzo Ahelegbe, a big play maker. Last season he averaged 14.1 ppg. That is all I have so far on UNI.

INDIANA STATE SYCAMORES

Greg Lansing- Head Coach
-Second year as Indiana State head coach.
-20-14 in first season, with a MVC title and NCAA Tournament game.
-Assistant at ISU 1996-1998 and 2006-2010. While in the 2006-2010 he was in charge of the recruiting. (Thus saying he has the players he wants present day)
-Seven years as assistant coach at Iowa.
-Key recruits and transfers:Justin Gant

Returning Players:

Dwayne Lathan-Guard
The high flyer and most hype player. Through two seasons this guy has become a player. Two years ago he averaged 12.7 ppg and this past season averaged 10.9 ppg. Averaging about 1.5 assists per game the past two years. Lathan is just flat out stupid athletic and can change a game by a fast break dunk. He did lead the team in scoring average the past year. One weakness is not playing his role and getting out of control. Has the ability to shoot the three and even drive to the hoop.

Carl Richard-Guard/Forward
All around sound player. Outstanding rebound for the Sycamores. 6.5 rebounds per game this past season. He averaged 9.5 ppg, which was the second best for ISU. He is a play maker who also can take a three or even post up down low.
