I moved it a point. And then I hammered it. I also went real small on the UK ML +225.
College Basketball, well sports really, is all about matchups. This Kentucky team (if they aren't cheap touch fouled to death) can and should match up well with this Buckeye team. I can see the total going either way, but love this to be a tight game.
Lauderdale and Sullinger are huge bodies to deal with, no doubt, but anyone who watches Kentucky knows what HArrellson and Jones are capable of. Kentucky also is a great defensive team and that alone keeps them in most games and they do have the size advantage on the perimeter. They should contest the three well tonight and hold Ohio St to a lower % from beyond the arc, so if they can box out and not allow Sullinger and Lauderdale to go wild on the offensive glass, then this should be a great great game. They have only one loss in neutral court games against the early surging UConn squad, with wins against Washington Huskies, ND Irish, and Florida, to name a few.
Brandon Knight is coming off of a 30 point explosion against the Mountaineers and Harrellson has back to back 15 point games and he absolutely cleans the glass. If Miller OR Lamb can contribute with a great shooting night, Kentucky will be right in the thick of this game.
Watch the fouls, if Kentucky gets in trouble the game is as good as over. Hopefully for our sake, the zebras let the boys bang out a great game.
I know I personally have been looking forward to this matchup for a long while. If UK continues this run, they will beat the likes of WVU (who knocked them out in Reg Finals last season), OHIO STATE (the number 1 number 1), UNC Tar Heels (who are UK's main competition for Tourney wins and Overall wins, and could avenge the super tight loss in Raleigh), UConn possibly (with another chance at avenging a loss early) and then a potential finals matchup with Kansas. Talk about some tiptop names. What a Road!! That in itself proves that this CATS team kinda got hosed. Undefeated at home, second in their conference, beat florida twice, quality wins against ND Louisville Washington all equates to a 4 seed in the toughest bracket with a potential road like this?!
Florida gets a two and waltz.
Oh well... whattaya gonna do? Start by beating the Buckeyes. or at least covering the +7.
