In an end of game situation, do you just give the ball to your star player or draw a play up? I think this says a lot about what kind of bettor you are. I hate creating topics right and left but I'm very interested in this

#2For me it depends on what type player that star player is and how versatile he is.Comment -

#3give it to the star player, too many variables for a plan, too chaotic, plan might choke out an opportunity.Comment -

#4I think it depends on the situation, if the stars has been able to get whatever shot he wants during the game then I'd run an Iso for him. But if its been a back and forth game where nothing has consistently worked, then I would run a set and try and get the best shot available.Comment -

#5tied, down 1 2 3? depends on many factors, but in general you draw up a play (assuming you have the timeout/time). you "draw up" a play but you also have an out if the first look isn't there...and yes usually the star player or who has the hot hand right then will get the call.Comment -

#8run a play that puts the ball in my star's hand at some point, but nothing so rigid as to kill creativity to break the play if the defense's reaction warrants. let him make a decision (shoot, pass, drive) based upon how the defense reacts to his receiving the ball. if the defense overreacts, someone else will likely get a chance at a lay-up or easy open shot.Comment -

#10i think if you dont run a play your not coaching. that is your title "coach" that is what you should do. plus 99% of set plays either draw a foul or get an open/easy look. if your coach can't come up with a play in that type of situation what is the purpose of having him on the sideline?Comment -
