Intense defense and making the right plays. They're not flashy, but this team is built for tourney time. They don't have superstars, but get it done when all is said and done.

Yeah, I don't get it either. I watched them lose to those teams earlier in the year and they didn't even look like s tourney team.

Now they are beating #1 seeds and looking like a top 5 team. ....

It's probably like what Doc Rivers did last season with the Celtics, take it slow during the regular season and try to peak at the right time, the postseason.

They made it to the championship game and almost beat Duke for the title. It's basically
the same team. Why the surprise as it only matters they made it to the tourney and turned
it up a notch. They have a real solid shot to knock off the Gators also.

Basically the same team.... "MINUS" their best player that went to the NBA.

Be real, they overachieve. Stevens does a great job at getting them ready for big games.

its called experience, basketball savvy, unbelievable game planning and execution. They also have 2 nba prospects in howard and mack in case u didnt catch that. Why u would be surprised i dont know they nearly won the national championship last yr and pretty much whole team is back except for hayward but theyve made up for his absence with solid role players.

They lose to teams like Youngstown St. During the regular season. That's why.

Stevens gets them ready to play when they need to.

They don't have more talent than teams like Duke, Texas, and Pitt which are no longer in the tourney. Don't act like Butler has top 5 type of talent.

the regular season means nothing for a team like Butler. He gets his guys ready come post season time, and thats all that counts. This team he has now is nothing compared to the team that lost to those bottom dwellers. The guy is one hell of a coach
