On BetUs, BYU's over-under for the first half is only 30. That seems really low to me. Does anyone know why? Florida's over/under is 35.5, the first half total is 69.5, and Florida is a 1.5 point first half favorite, so I would think BYU's over/under should be 34 for the first half... makes no sense to me why it is only 30.
Regardless, I like Florida -1.5 first half. They are a great offensive rebounding team, and BYU got dominated on the boards against Gonzaga - they haven't done as good a job rebounding since Davies got hurt. I think that is the difference in this game. I would take Florida for the game, but they are a bad free throw shooting team and Fredette making 3s in the last minute makes me think a cover at the end could certainly be possible. I'm a bit worried because Florida has started slow a lot of games recently (particularly in the SEC tourney), but I think they'll bring their A game in this one.
Another thing I don't think anyone is mentioning is that this is a revenge spot for Florida - they lost to BYU in the first round of the tourney last year in double OT. I think they come ready to play and take the first half and most likely the game...
