I just came back from my local sportsbook, and all the local fades are jumping on Kemba...
I had to do the right thing, and go the other way. I rolled over my Wizards +6 2ndH bet, onto SDSU PK.

No. 1 public play.
SDS is back to -105 ML at sharp books. As long as it doesn't go into the + range again, I *think* we're on the right side.

ahhhh, interesting......you know, i certainly give a lot of merit to where the public places bets and such. I follow line movements and consider that deeply when making particular plays. The only real times where I would say it shouldn't be as emphasized is during the college tourney....I've found this to be true over the years. Nonetheless, do what you do and bol bro....thanks for giving the heads up on that

Personally, if you want to bet SDSU you probably should just pass the game. Uconn has proved to be a "tournament" team this year. They won the Maui classic, the Big East, and are now a sweet 16 team. Now, I don't follow college basketball closely and have not seen SDSU play, but this is the same team that couldn't beat BYU until Davies went down, even on there HC they lost to them. Mountain West is garbage conference and SDSU has only competed against 1 good team all yr (BYU) and could not beat them when they had there full squad.... Betting against Uconn or (Kemba Walker) because "squares" like them is nuts. Keep in mind also Uconn has been a dog in almost every other tournament game they have played in (Maui,Big East,MM)

Thing is, nobody was really beating BYU when they had Davies. Also, you don't seem to pay much attention to the NCAA tourney, as the BYU team (without Davies) is still in it, yes the same one the Aztecs smoked by 18. Yes, the Mountain West is a pretty weak conference but so is the Big East (Tourney is Proof, sorry). Uconn has definitely proved to be the best team in the Big East though, so I do expect this to be a good close game.

You should have waited, UConn now -1 just about everywhere and you could probably get +odds ML on SDST at tip-off

Mountain West is now ranked sixth in the country, ahead of the SEC. That is a big reason why I like BYU over Florida.

Uconn is getting way to much respect right now. The only people not overrating them are the books, that's why they are only a one point favorite.
This game could go either way.

I think this is the right side. SDST has too much size, not to mention a virtual home game. BOL

Yes, because BYU has beated Wofford, and a so,so Gonzaga team to remain in the tournament.
And SDSU has taken down powerhouses Northern Colo, and Temple to remain in the tournament.

Yes, I agree BYU and SDSU is quality teams which make the MW a stronger conference but outside of those 2 teams is there anybody in the MW conference that good?
All I was trying to say was it is not smart to fade a hot team that is battle tested and underfeated in tournament play to this point this year.
Uconn won the Maui Tournament by beating Wichita St, Michican St, and Kentucky.
Uconn won the Big East Tournament by beating Depaul, Georgetown,Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and Louisville.
Uconn has reached the sweet 16 by beating Bucknell, and Cincy.
I don't see it out of the realm of possibility that they beat SDSU tonite as well.
Regardless of rankings, ratings or whatever formula you want to use if SDSU wins tonite it will be the best team they have beaten this season. Lucky for them it will be a mostly home crowd.

ST. Johns struggled to win any meaningful game outside playing in MSG. St. Johns lost many conference games by DD on the road. They made improvements with Lavin but were pretenders all along.

it's an over ratted conference.
SDSU has a better frontline and can actually play defense and rebound.

I don't disagree that the big east is overrated. I am just saying that Uconn has proved to be a "tournament" team and can beat anybody on any nite.
Overrated or not what are the possibilities of SDSU beating: Depaul, Georgetown,Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and Louisville. 5 teams in 5 nites?

Anyways, have it your way folks. I use to be into trying to decide when a "hot" team would finally slip up and lose a game. I guess if you win your SDSU bets you will all feel "sharp". If you lose than you will be thinking WTF was I thinking fading Uconn?
Considering the "venue" being a virtual home game for SDSU the best play here is a no play.
BTW, the mormons party ends tonite against the Gators.
