Books got "creamed" in the Round of 32: NCAA Tourney Recap with Doc from Legends
Doc, the Head Linesman at Legends Sportsbook, called in to the SBRtv studios to discuss how the betting action went for the books in the rounds of 64 and 32 in the NCAA tournament, and what he might be expecting for the Sweet 16.

According to Doc, the round of 64 was OK for the books, but the round of 32 was a bloodbath for the books, as the public enjoyed a near-sweep of their favored sides.

At 4:04, he said that the public took 4 hundred on the moneyline. Is he saying that they took a total of 400k of bets on the moneyline? That seems like a ton of money on a VCU $line play, or is Legends that big of a book?

What he means is that public took VA at +400 on ML.

This Sharp here had UCLA. Looked great all game, til the very end. Prop just inches away...that one long pass that just nicked off the fingertips of UCLA and then Walker buried that three.

most public plays won on saturday and sunday.

notre dame was a public play but fsu was a HUGE sharp play.

its not really rocket science, books want 1. avoiding getting middled 2. the "steam" bet to lose

also id imagine vcu was a popular ml dog shot as well as ml parlays with mostly the big favorites.

                    Ha, all relative I suppose.

Great book though. I only use it once a week or so, since I get better lines and juice elsewhere, but not a bad 3rd/4th option now that matchbook is out of the picture. Legends was my main book for a year or so, and other than the occasional outage, I have nothing bad to say.

This reminds me of the banks when they needed a government bailout for bad decisions and then a year or two after receiving billions of aid they are making billions. Books never get "creamed" but the players always get "creamed" at the end.

                              Very surprising.

Can't wait to see this weeks report.

I'm sure they took a beating on Friday night with Florida & UConn in parlays then Arizona for the jugular.
