Can Florida Stop Jimmer?

Florida should win this game, but I'm not sure if Florida can matchup with Jimmer. Both of Florida's guards (Erving and Boyntin) are too small to guard Jimmer. I'm going to assume Chandler Parsons will matchup with Jimmer. Parsons is an exceptionally good defender, but I think hey may be too slow to keep up with Jimmer.

Overall I think Florida wins, but I don't think I'm going to bet on this game because I could see Jimmer carrying BYU to the win.

I hope people keep thinking Florida can stick with BYU so the line kees climbing. I don't think BYU is amazing by any means, but I have thought Florida has been overrated all year and definitely should have not be a 2 seed. Everyone thought Gonzaga could take care of BYU, but look what happened there...

Should Florida even be favored? Both Pomeroy and Sagarin have BYU -1. I don't know if Sagarin accounts for Davies, but kenpom does.

I got byu to make it to the final 4 here lol..so yeh byu will smash on florida seriously they smash on gonzaga ..florida will try to climb back for the win but will lose by 4 points jimmer will score the first 10 mins and its all byu from there and florida will get there 3s but wont be enough.

Yeah, talent wise, Florida is way ahead of BYU. But I don't think anyone is going to stop Jimmer. Billy D can try to prepare his team all he wants for Jimmer, but in the end he is going to get his points. It is like planning against Kobe. You know exactly what Kobe is going to do, and he still scores on you. Jimmer will get his 28-35 points, but I just think Florida will be too much.

And the one downside about Jimmer that no one talks about is that he takes some bad shots that will turn into Florida fastbreak points. Jimmer usually has about 5-7 bad shots, and Florida will try to get out and run on each of those bad shots.

I don't think they can stop him, they'll probably contain him somewhat. This guy drains 3's from half court with ease. I think BYU ina close one.

The thing about this game is that Florida is a balanced team. Do they stop Jimmer? No, but size will be key I expect Vernon Maclin to lead Florida to victory. Also look for Florida to try and drive the ball and get Jimmer and friends in foul trouble, as this Florida team will be the fastest and most athletic team that BYU has faced all year.

Jimmer will still put up a 30 pt day...but the real question is, can BYU out rebound Florida and put up more points in the paint.....As much i'm pullin for BYU, I think Florida wins because of the pts in the paint
