Marquette and Uconn will win

Big East Bashing has gone into full overdrive, so now these 2 teams will win, it's just the way things usually go.


I will be doing UCONN ML on thursday. If it wins, I'm putting the Whole pot on Marquette ML. If they lose, double my bet on Marquette ML. No way both lose.

U-Conn is HOT, HOT, HOT!!!! I don't think they'll stop, stop, stop, now-----not after 5 conf. wins in 5 days + the current showing we're seeing-----Kemba-man, Kimba-man is Mr. Mission-Man right now...

Now, Marquette's another story; anybody truly paying attention to them during the season knows that this a team with peaks & valleys, but like the landscape, wholly susceptible to pitfalls & self-implosion when things just don't seem to be going their way. Give them credit. They've earned their way to be in the sweet 16....but the dreamride ends here, with UNC.

I'm not biased by any stretch...it's just that in some games you have to have the horses, and once UNC gets going----they won't let up---WASH was only able to hang because they've perfected the run-n-gun all year with 30+ games of practice. That's NOT Marquette's game. And I'm expecting by halftime for their horses to have done fled the barn.

Where are all those teams Connecticut beat in the Big East tournament? I'll repost something I said in another thread:

One of the big reasons Connecticut is getting so much hype is because they won the Big East tournament by winning 5 games in 5 days. The teams they beat were DePaul (Didn't make the NCAAs), Georgetown (1st round knockout - VCU), Pittsburgh (2nd round knockout - Butler), Syracuse (2nd round knockout - Marquette), and Louisville (1st round knockout - Morehead State). Then, in the NCAAs, they blew out Bucknell and beat Cincinnati, yet another overrated Big East squad. Connecticut was a mediocre squad at best before the Big East tournament, and after beating a bunch of overrated historical chokers, suddenly the hype train is behind Kemba Walker and the Huskies.

Good luck with your bet OP. I'm not sure what you see in Big East teams after their embarrassing showing in the tournament. I'm leaning SDSU ML and UNC ML.

My bet on the UCONN-SDSU game will depend on Kemba. Does anyone know how serious his injury is? Healthy Kemba will beat SDSU, dinged up Kemba will lose to SDSU. As Kemba goes, so does UCONN.

if marquette can drag unc into a half court game, they have a chance...keep the heels out of transition, limit possessions, turn it into a slugfest. marquette ML is value imo

UNC is soft, Marquette plays hard. I think Marquette out hustles them for the win. It will be close, and I don't think UNC wins by at least 5. So I'm probably just going to take Marquette +4.5.

Marquette will get run off the Court by UNC, they just don't have enough athletic speed like Washington to hang.

UConn I can see covering, but that game basically a coin flip. San Diego State got guards that can keep up with Kemba Walkers.

I like how people say the Big East sucks. TO be fair, the Big East Tourney>NCAAs. That tourney kicks the crap out of EVERY team, even if they are one and done.
I really like Marquette tommorrow night with the points. Effort>1st round picks with horribly overated coach, at least, with the spread:P

bettingwizard....we were both on same side with uconn ml. Now, marquette has been one of my darkhorse pics all season long....i've been touting them for a while and have followed them closely. I have also tracked unc down the stretch....as much as I can see marquette pulling off the upset if they play lights out, if they are off and unc is on this could really get ugly. It all depends on which team dictates the pace of the game...but marquette can do it, but i wouldn't go ML on that at all if you're tryna go big on it. BOL to you though...don't think 2 Bigeast teams make it to elite8 (you know ncaa wants unc to advance in this situation).
