Has anyone ever been more baffled by a bball game than they were for PUR-VCU

a team that shouldnt even have been in the tourney to begin with....plays there 3rd game in 6 days..and puts up 91 on a very solid, SR led, 2 all americans team in Purdue.

I didn't see this game but I was amazed at the final score. I knew the colonial was a good conference but who knew vcu could hang 90 on purdue?

Plain and Simple....VCU is a better team then Purdue. I truly believe VCU wins 7 out of 10 times.

Ya, and so is Old Dominion and George Mason right? Purdue would prolly finish 4th or 5th in the Colonial. I don't think so. VCU is very focused and very hot. It happens every year in this tourney. My hat is off to them though, they just spanked 3 straight major conference teams in a row. I don't see them pulling a George Mason and making the final four however.

Purdue also lost a game in Chicago to Richmond this season, too. But wow, Purdue's defense was just *shattered* first EVER loss by a Matt Painter-coached team that scored 70+ points.

Now this is true. They rely heavily on 2 players(Moore and Johnson). I still think it's a shame that Hummel went down this year, he would have made a huge difference to this team. Purdue was ripe for the taking in this tourney. So was Georgetown for that matter. Neither team was playing well at all.
