Does Illinois (+8) cover against Kansas?

I've backed the Illini a lot this year. Won big once but was burned on them several times. Talent-wise, they can hang with the Jayhawks. Their problem seems to be that they have at least one really bad run each game. I'm leaning towards the points in this one but am hesitant. Thoughts???

Who in the hell knows which McCamey shows up today. If they play up to their potential, they could give KU some serious problems. KU also likes to gag early in the tournament.

thought this team had alot of potential...especially after watching them at home against ohio st.....then i realized it was a home game on national tv against a top ranked team(a game which they gave away)....

but these guys burned me pretty bad as i played them on the ml pretty big in a road game against indiana....they needed the game pretty bad and indiana had a couple of guys out.....illinois couldnt crack 50 pts.....

i want to play kansas...but im afraid illinois will burn me and show up if i play against them

Really? I find that odd because Illinois didn't lose by 20 all season, but they did lose by 8 or fewer in 9 of their 13 losses. The usual Illinois scenario is to hang or lead most of the game and then choke late in close ones, but lose in a close one. The had very very few close wins though...19/20 wins by 9+ points.

So it seems like Illinois wins by 9+ or loses by 8 or fewer.

I like Illinois and the points in this one. Although they haven't played up to their potential for most of the season, at times they have shown some good things. I think Illinois shows up today and keeps this one close.
