I knew he was toast when the AD said they will wait until they are out of the tourney to decide. When players saw these comments they knew regardless of how many wins they made in the tourney he was going to be fired anyway so they quit on the AD and the school. I picked Michigan on my brackets.

This wasn't a surprise, really. Tennessee's practice squad torched 'em after studying Beilein's offense for just 50 minutes. Scotty Hopson was looking ahead the entire week, first to Duke, then to the NBA Draft once everybody realized Pearl's career was over. Once Tenn realized they couldn't just out-talent Michigan they gave up. Tennessee got dunked on by Stu Douglass. Srsly.

Funny thing is Pearl is still a winner and a great recruiter. I doubt Tennessee would have fired him if they didn't think the NCAA was going to show-cause his behind, which they will.
