So I don't understand why you didn't go with the -135 ML since it's a better price. You would rather risk less than get a better line?

Would you really want to pay a 30% premium to buy 2 points? The whole point is to pick the spread you think will cover.
I've played the ML on small favorites a few times and got ****** with those teams lost straight up. Either way picked the wrong team but I could have saved myself 30% by just taking the spread.

At 2.5 its really 3 points so buying 3 points for about 30 cents is the way to go you won't find a better deal.

I almost never even consider money lines with favorites of -2.5 or less.
But now that you mention it, you are right about -135 being better price, -2.5 -103 is equivalent to about -138.5

Right. I don't know if you've taken a small moneyline favorite all year in CBB. I know there have been at least a couple times where the ML was the right move. However, you're often taking those small ML dogs. So maybe we'll see a little more consistency from you in the future with those small favs on the ML.
Thanks for getting back to me. GL today.

Well. ML Dogs are almost always preferable to ATS on small lines of 2.5 or less, and ATS is almost always preferable to ML faves. I say "almost" because of situations like Evansville, but I don't think you's be making that big a mistake by making it a firm rule.
