Wisconsin shoots terribly on the road, and while their offense is good their defense always gets exposed when they aren't benefiting from biased officiating. I mean really, do you expect me to believe that a team comprised of big slow white dudes is that good at defending without fouling? That all being said Belmont loves to press and play uptempo and Wisconsin's offense is good at not committing turnovers so we could see a lot of Jordan Taylor breaking the press and finding Leuer down low for uncontested layups. Wisconsin just never seems to do well in the tournament.Comment -

Pomeroy has Belmont ranked with the 19th best chance to win the tournament, with a 39% chance of beating Wisconsin. Even though he says not to put too much stock into the Belmont and Utah State ratings, he probably has Belmont ranked that high for a reason. The guy knows what he's talking about. Belmont plays in a small conference, but a lot of their wins are blowouts. They are a very solid team. I think Wisky should cover the -5 though. I think you are under estimating this Belmont team my friend. They can score, they force turnovers and they have a deep bench. Not the game I would risk a high amount of money on the favorite. If Wisconsin can take care of the ball and force that slow paced game they should win but if Belmont can get turnovers, which they can, and up the pace of this game then Wisconsin is in some trouble. not so fast, belmont is a one of the teams I put into a sleeper category.Over the years teams that dominate their league handily with avg margin of victory normally in double digits are extremely dangerous in the ncaa tourney. Siena, Davidson, Murray st., cornell just to name a few of the killers in the past. Wisconsin just does not stand out in any way, they like to run a lot of ball screens on offense but belmont is terrific on the defensive end collectively as a group and will limit wisconsins opportunity for getting good looks. Look for a balanced effort to lead the way to a belmont squad that has ripped competition in their league and become the next in line of giant killers. Many forget belmont almost shocked the blue devils few yrs ago in a game that went down to the last shot. This is a solid program and they will not be intimidated at all having won at tennessee earlier in the yr.Comment
