    Best Field Ever?
The major conferences are certainly down it seems but the smaller conferences are VERY good this year. Lets break down the double digit seeds outside of the play in games and 16 seeds.

Princeton- Typical Ivy League team but Princeton is solid
Marquette- Quality Big East team who has played more close games than anybody
Indiana State- Missouri State or Wichita should be here but ISU has talent for a 14 seed
Georgia- Typical talented team who for whatever reason hasn't produced like they should
Long Island- Dont really follow them but from what I've saw, very average 15 seed
Memphis- FADE CITYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY (doesnt really help my case lol)
Oakland- As a 13 seed, its rare to see a team score at the pace and efficiency as they do
Missouri- Very dangerous combination of scheme and athletes that can cause chaos
Bucknell- Very disciplined team who is well coached, will scare UConn IMO
Penn State- Not very high on this team but they did pick up good wins in a tough Big 10
Northern Colorado- Nothing to brag on, above average 15 seed IMO
Richmond- VERY dangerous team that plays very tough defense and is well coached, could make noise
Morehead State- Definite first rounder at center and won a tough OVC this year over Murray State and APSU
Saint Peters- Not the team we expected but Saint Peters plays a very slow tempo and plays hard on defense
Florida State- Hard nosed team even with the loss of star forward Singleton
Akron- The MAC may be down but a 15 seed is too low IMO, Akron has a lot more talent than a 15
Utah State- LOVE this team but plenty of respect as only 2 point dogs to K-State the 5 seed
Belmont- VERY good team who may be overhyped by the pundits
Gonzaga- Not sold on these guys, the talent isn't there IMO
Wofford- LIKE this team as well, could very easily see Wofford beating BYU straight up
Michigan State- Who knows what to expect? I think they get to the Swee 16 if they can beat UCLA in Round 1
UC Santa Barbara- typical 15 seed for the most part

      Missouri
      Bucknell
      Penn State
      Richmond
      Morehead State

Alabama, Colorado, and maybe Virginia Tech should have been in there. Why is Georgia so high?? I think this could be one of the weakest fields in a while.

Alabama is god awful, Georgia probably shouldn't have been in over Saint Mary's or VA Tech. Colorado didnt do much outside of home if I remember right

They lost four games in conference and all on the road. They beat Kentucky. They beat UT at UT. They were not playing very good prior to conference play but they also had injuries and suspensions. They beat UGA TWICE!!!!!!!!!! Explain to me how that is God awful?

No not cause anyone can win it the top seed line is still stacked, I agree with tpowell none of those other teams don't deserve to be in, shit id rather cut the tourney down to 32. Half these teams don't deserve to be in shit cut it down to 16 if it wasn't all about money, is there anyone below a 4 seed that u can honestly think would win? 4 seed I think could win is the ville and that's it... that's y I say its a shit field

There's more parity this season and more teams that have a chance to make a run in the tournament. But that doesn't necessarily equal a better field. I believe there's more parity because the top teams are worse more than the good to average teams are better. I actually think this is one of the worst fields ever, relatively speaking.

Add to that all the loses in the field... it'll be competitive cause of bad quality teams being matched up... I see lot of 4 5 and a 3 losing early

Who guards Faired from your team, TP? I'm definitely taking Morehead State +5 1H (projected).

I disagree re: Memphis. I think they can cover, if not win SU, against an overrated Arizona squad.

Wofford is going to give BYU problems. I agree.

I agree re: Richmond and USU as well.

I think Mizzou's junk and they're playing their worst ball of the season.

I disgree re: Gonzaga. They might not be as talented as other Zag teams, but Sacre and Gray are very good. Their game with St. John's, along with Butler/ODU, is very intriguing.

I think Arizona will handle Memphis easily, the Tigers are a young team that plays defense like every game is an all-star game. Did you see how effortlessly Tennessee dropped 100 on 'em?

I'm liking Clemson to beat WVU more and more. WVU is one of those teams that has games where they can't hit wide open jump shots, and I think Clemson can take advantage of that.

Richmond has a good chance of taking down Vandy but how many times in a row can they get their 'dores blown off (pun intended) in the first round by mid-majors?

Utah State, on the other hand, is the least likely 12/5 upset. K-State is playing much better as of late and Utah State is always one of the worst-prepared teams coming into the tournament because of their godawful schedule. It seems almost every year Utah State gets the WAC #1 seed and loses in the WAC Tournament final on either New Mexico State or Nevada's home court. They had to change up the WAC Tournament format just to stop that from happening so now its on a neutral floor and the top 2 seeds get double byes. And USU *STILL* almost lost to San Jose State in the semis! There's a reason Stew Morrill has only 1 career NCAA Tournament win.

I liked Mizzou as the best 11/6 upset but the way they're playing and all the rumors about their coach leaving for Arkansas I think that tough Cinci defense might have a shot.

Boy I tell you that FSU/Texas A&M game is going to be a crime against offense of Penn State/Wisconsin proportions. The Seminoles might actually shoot worse from the free throw line than from the field. On the other hand, UNC/Washington and Texas/Oakland are going to be absolute shootouts. If they don't go into the 100s I'll be disappointed. I think ND can drop 100 on Akron as well.
