The major conferences are certainly down it seems but the smaller conferences are VERY good this year. Lets break down the double digit seeds outside of the play in games and 16 seeds.
Princeton- Typical Ivy League team but Princeton is solid
Marquette- Quality Big East team who has played more close games than anybody
Indiana State- Missouri State or Wichita should be here but ISU has talent for a 14 seed
Georgia- Typical talented team who for whatever reason hasn't produced like they should
Long Island- Dont really follow them but from what I've saw, very average 15 seed
Memphis- FADE CITYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY (doesnt really help my case lol)
Oakland- As a 13 seed, its rare to see a team score at the pace and efficiency as they do
Missouri- Very dangerous combination of scheme and athletes that can cause chaos
Bucknell- Very disciplined team who is well coached, will scare UConn IMO
Penn State- Not very high on this team but they did pick up good wins in a tough Big 10
Northern Colorado- Nothing to brag on, above average 15 seed IMO
Richmond- VERY dangerous team that plays very tough defense and is well coached, could make noise
Morehead State- Definite first rounder at center and won a tough OVC this year over Murray State and APSU
Saint Peters- Not the team we expected but Saint Peters plays a very slow tempo and plays hard on defense
Florida State- Hard nosed team even with the loss of star forward Singleton
Akron- The MAC may be down but a 15 seed is too low IMO, Akron has a lot more talent than a 15
Utah State- LOVE this team but plenty of respect as only 2 point dogs to K-State the 5 seed
Belmont- VERY good team who may be overhyped by the pundits
Gonzaga- Not sold on these guys, the talent isn't there IMO
Wofford- LIKE this team as well, could very easily see Wofford beating BYU straight up
Michigan State- Who knows what to expect? I think they get to the Swee 16 if they can beat UCLA in Round 1
UC Santa Barbara- typical 15 seed for the most part
