An idea (pay you 5 points for knowledge)
What if we put together a ghettto wiki, think about the knowledge we have around this place. odds are we have someone who has followed each of these 68 teams fairly closely this year. Could we somehow put that knowledge to collective use....hmmmm.

What if I offered to pay people 5 points to simply give us a solid write -up on each team. You sumbit a team that already has been submitted You won't get paid. THink we can get a solid write on a good number of teams before tip on Tuesday/ Wednesday?

Do you think it would be worth it? Would anyone chip in to help...hmmmm

***STILL A WHAT IF**** Not guarenteeing payment yet!

its talor battle. if u r going to do the writeup and try to get points at least spell his name right. and as a nittany lion fan i can tell u that brooks and frazier can play too. that first round game will be a defensive battle, but temple has enough firepower and should have scootie randall back. temple covers.

BYU is done. Look for them to lose in the second round.

FSU loses in the first round trying to work Singleton back into the rotation. He'll try and do too much and it will destroy team chemistry.
No more of that talk, or I'll put the leeches on you.

I think it would be worth a shot. Who knows. I'll throw my 2 cents in here though.

          #6 Cincinnati Bearcats

Many predicted they were getting a #7 seed, but actually got bumped up a seed. They started the season 15-0 with very small victories. They beat doormats of the Big East, Depaul & South Florida, but had a 20 point victory over Xavier. Then there was mixed results for the team. They beat the bad teams and lost to the good teams. Had a 2 point win on the road against St.Johns, but lost a 2 point game at home against them. They closed out the season winning 5 out of 6 games which includes 2 victories over Georgetown. They won by 8 on the road and hammered them at home by 22. They beat Louisville by 11 and won at Martquette by 7. There loss down the stretch was to Uconn and played them tough losing by 8. The Big East Tournament was nothing special. They crushed South Florida by over 20 points after they upset Villanova. The next night everybody watching ESPN watched how Notre Dame embarrassed UC. I think they match up poorly against them and they are not as bad as it was shown.

I am not a fan of Mick Cronin whatsoever. He and Yancy Gates had some issues where he benched him for some conduct reasons. Nobody ever went into detail about the issue, but UC really struggled without him. Once he was back in regularly, he put up some big numbers and carried them to victories. On the year, Gates averaged 11.8 points with 6.8 rebounds. Dixon is the next scorer averaging 11.6 points and shooting 36.6% from 3 point range. Sean Kilpatrick is the spark off the bench averaging 9.9 points and shoots 39% from 3 point range. After those 3 they have average players who have big games or moments and then have some mediocre games. They have four players averaging over 25 minutes a game for the season, but they are not that deep. UC plays several guys for minutes, but nobody is a big stand out.

To win the game UC has to keep the scoring low and play defense. That is their strength. They force more than 14 turnovers a game and limit opponents to under 60 points per game. The usual scorers need to do their part and let the defense take over. The one thing that burns them is free throw shooting. They are about a 65%-68% team from the line. Starter, Rasad Bishop shoots 81% while teammates Kilpatrick, Wright, & Dixon shoot 73-75%. The rest shoot pretty poorly with starts Thomas and Gates shooting under 60%. They are the big guys on the team at 6'11 and 6'9, but kind of disappointing numbers from the line.
