    Case for Harvard
I know that Harvard will most likely get overlooked by the committee, but should they???

Yes, they play in the Ivy League, but it's not their fault. They went 12-2, shared a regular season title, and lost on a buzzer beater in an amazing basketball game.

They lost 6 games, but there only BAD loss was to Yale.
They lost to Princeton twice (5 points combined), lost to UConn, Geroge Mason and a 3 point loss to Michigan (all tournament teams, all on the road)

Let's look at out of conference wins:

    - Beat Colorado by 16!
    - Beat Boston College by 9 (on the road!)
    - George Washington and Fordham (sure not the best A-10 teams, but a conference that will get in 4 teams if Dayton wins tomorrow)

Gotta feel bad for Harvard, as they won't even get a look. All I can say is there is no reason Boston College should get a bid over Harvard, and you can make a case Colorado shouldn't either.

well I do agree with you that Harvard should defintly get a look. I think something like this would also sway the publics view on the selection committe if they do put 2 Ivy League programs in the tourney. In a good way also.

But I have to disagree with y ou on the fact that they deserve a bid over Boston College.

Harvard Does deserve a look though beating Colorado and BC is a interesting case nonetheless

Why does Boston College get in over Harvard though? Sure they will have more good wins, they play in the ACC! Not Harvard's fault.
Harvard did what they could, and scheduled a tough out of conference schedule, with an ACC, Big 12, Big 10, A10 and Colonial.

Harvard loss at Yale looks bad, but how about BC's 8 point home loss to Yale?? BC also lost to Rhode Island.

Maybe the committee will take a good hard look at what unfolded today, I mean Harvard has a top 30 RPI.

Their RPI is 33. They deserve to be in.

How impressive is BC's 9-7 ACC record though???

            They beat 7-9 Virginia twice.
            They beat 7-9 Maryland twice.
            They beat 1-15 Wake Forest.
            They beat 5-11 Georgia Tech.
            They beat 5-11 NC State.

That's 7 of their 9 wins in the ACC! Why do I have a feeling now Harvard might still be on the board?

Bracket boy at ESPN had them as 14 seed.

Normally I'd say no to an Ivy at large, but cmon 5 of their 6 losses are to tournament teams, and possibly 3 of their wins over tournament teams. What do they have to do?? Win at UConn??

Why do I have a feeling that BC horrible performance yesterday, Alabama's horrible performance today, UAB's horrible performance 1st round, USC unmotivated loss yesterday and Georgia debacle yesterday will come back to haunt these teams and open the door?

Harvard is greater than a lot of teams that will receive at large bids.

I thought HArvard had a chance if they lost a close game today. Does not get much closer than that. With that said a big win over fellow bubble team Colorado should help but really who knows. Selection Committee seems to have certain biases and Ivy league equals one bid is one bid is one of them.

Im ok with Harvard missing the field......but I think they got absolutely scammed in the NIT.

I would say Harvard should have been among the top 5 or 6 who missed the NCAA field.

Now they get a #6 seed in the NIT...and don't even get a home game??? That means at least 20 teams were ranked ahead of the Crimson??? Really??

                                    - California
                                    - Ole Miss
                                    - Northwestern
                                    - Milwaukee
                                    - UTEP
                                    - Oklahoma St
                                    - Dayton

Were any of these even close to the bubble?? Sometimes these committees blow my mind.
