I'm worried about playing Pitt..... they already have a #1 seed locked up in the NCAA tourney. How hard will they play for this game?

- Kemba Walker is 0-4 against Pitt in his career.
- Pitt has earned double bye's in the Big East tournament the past 2 years (lost the first game in both)
- UConn has already played 2 games in the tournament.

This might come down to heavy legs vs. rest. Pitt has responded well after long breaks this season. Pitt is the better team, hands down... but which Kemba Walker shows up is the question? The one that plays OK against Pitt, or the playmaker that comes out against every other team?

The long rest won't be a problem for Pitt...this year when having 4 or more days off they are 7-0 including the blowout win over Uconn earlier was a game they had 4 days of rest.

Why do people keep on insisting that these #1 seeds have nothing to play for, that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Do you really think Pitt wants to lose this game and then have a week break before their next game to think about it. The tourney is all about who's hot and who's not. Pitt is not going to want to go into the tourney with a sour taste in their mouths if they lose this game. The real question is will Uconn's freshman step up in this game or will Walker be the only one to put up points, Pitt is too experienced and has to much depth for Uconn imo.

God thank you. I swear people here make up whatever they need to rationalize a bad pick. If you've ever played a sport competitively you know theres never "nothing" to play for. Yes one team could potentially be "more motivated" but no one wants to lose and especially not before the tournament.

Can you imagine if you were on something like American Idol and you had a round where no one voted, would you want to go out and stink up the joint just because it "didnt count" or perform well and head into the big show with success and confidence?
