First of all, it was on CBS College Sports, which personally I just don't approve of. Then you've got American and Bucknell who are light years ahead of the other 6 teams. In fact, they were a combined 24-2 vs the other 6 teams in their conference. Both were playing true home games in the semi finals vs. teams they'd swept that season.
American loses on a last-second 3 in double overtime to Lafayette.
Bucknell misses 2 fts and commits a turnover in the last 15 seconds to give Lehigh a chance to win and holds on by 2.
Its not like George Mason where they knew they were in and weren't prepared to play a VCU team fighting for their season on their home court. All Bucknell had to hang their hats on was a NIT bid if they lost.
Still managed to get some cash out of it though.
