Seton Hall Lock of the Century

Hahah someone please call Seton Hall a Lock... this is crazy everybody on this forum likes St. Johns.... it's got me thinking maybe I should fade my self and take Seton Hall..????

Does anyone have the percentages of who is betting on St. Johns? I mean I've watched St. Johns last 5 games or so and to me they look like the best team in the Big East but why is the line only -3??

Line is 2 right now and Kenpom has line at 1 and Massey line is 2.5 so its not really far off.

I feel like a lot of people are going to go big on St. Johns.

These are the kind of games Vegas makes a living on. More often than not, a team like Seton Hall will cover and the apparently easy pick will lose.

          Sounds about right.

St. Johns may very well cover but the majority of the time the Vegas covers and wins. St. Johns is coming off of a few big wins and they have sealed up a tourney spot. This could be a perfect spot for a let down right before the Big East tourney.

If St. Johns can lose to Fordham, they can lose at Seton Hall.

wow.... I mean this is crazy. I really like the way St Johns plays. They have big men they have good guard play they pass well and they shoot well.

Does Seton Hall have good guards?

I almost want to take Seton Hall just b/c I feel like this is a trap but logic says to take St Johns.

No more square plays for me. I'm either taking Seton Hall or probably no play.

they played nova as a dog, St John's is 1-1 as a road favorite this season unless I'm wrong.

Nova has completely fallen apart. Didn't they just lose by about 30 points???

St. Johns has lost at Saint Marys, at Fordham, and at home to St. Bonaventure. They haven't exactly lit it up on the road as a favorite. Likewise, the extremely low line should be a red flag.

It's either Seton Hall or no play for me. I feel like this is one of those games that comes down the the final minute. I would rather have the points.

absolutely agreed, I think this might go to the buzzer beater and saint johns wins by a point or two with a buzzer beater.

Yep. St. Johns hasn't won at Seton Hall in 13 years and all of Seton Halls home losses have been by 5 points or less.

I'm going to wait for the line to hit 3 or 4, which I'm sure it will, and then I will make a regular wager on Seton Hall + the points. Even if I lose and feel like and idiot for betting a trash team, it's not going to kill me because I'm not loading up on this game like a lot of the public are.

People that have been doing this for a while realize that when it looks too easy, it usually isn't.

I really see this game as a +/- 2 game. Seton hall loses by 1 or 2, or Seton Hall wins by 1 or 2. I would go with grabbing the points, but I'm not here to "argue" just my point of view. If I was taking St Johns i'd take them at -2, too much juice for my taste for the ML. If I am taking Seton Hall, I'd wait for the line to go back to 3. Even though the public is all over ST Johns, I have my doubts this line is going to go past 3. I wouldn't be surprised if it stays at 2.5. If it does then my +/- is a good look and i'd grab the 2.5.

Keep in mind if St Johns beats the Hall they lock up a double bye in Big East tourney. They lose and Cuse wins, Cuse gets the double bye. St Johns has LOTS to play for. GL
