#8This jumped at me, which usually means look harder. St Johns 5-3 on the road in conference, all five wins Villanova, Marquette, Cincy, Providence, WVA, win and cover. Losses Domers, Louisville, and GTown. They are 1/2 game behind Lville, 1/2 game ahead of Cuse going into the Big East tournament. So they should be motivated, they are playing well, and Seton Hall is not. I like this.Comment -

#9The Red Storm have dropped their last six visits to Seton Hall since a 64-60 victory Feb. 15, 1998. The Pirates have won seven of the last 10 meetings overall.Comment -

#11It's unclear how effective Pope will be after he made 1 of 9 shots for four points and grabbed four rebounds while being under the weather in Seton Hall's third straight loss Saturday, 60-48 to the Fighting Irish."Herb has the flu, so the fact that he played 29 minutes was great," coach Kevin Willard said. "He would have played more (if he was healthy)."Point guard Jordan Theodore is expected to play despite Essex County prosecutors weighing a potential gun charge against him from an incident last month following the dismissals of Keon Lawrence and Jamel Jackson from the team.Theodore is second on the team in scoring at 10.7 points per game but has been held to nine combined in his last two.Seton Hall is the worst shooting team in the Big East at 40.5 percent, and one of the country's worst 3-point shooting teams at 28.4 percent.Comment -

#13Rbyrne, good points. How much do credence do you give their last win was in 98 at Seton Hall. Played there last time in 2009, half the team must be different on both sides, so I noticed it, but didn't give it much if any weight.Comment -

#15Keep in mind if St Johns beats the Hall they lock up a double bye in Big East tourney. They lose and Cuse wins, Cuse gets the double bye. St Johns has LOTS to play for. GLComment -

#16St. John’s has made a habit of putting Top 25 teams to shame all year and now has an opportunity to earn a double-bye in next weekend’s Big East Tournament with two wins to close out the regular season. And considering the Red Storm’s track record so far this year, you have to like their chances against the Pirates and then home to South Florida on Saturday. That said, they aren’t taking these last two tests lightly. "These games are actually harder," St. John's senior forward Justin Burrell said. "You see when a team that, for the lack of a better word, is supposed to win the game, those games are sometimes close, because teams overlook them, or don't come out with the same intensity. So we're paying attention, focusing in on Seton Hall and making sure we go out and get a victory." The Red Storm will be up against history on Thursday – they haven’t won at Seton Hall in 13 years. Still, St. John’s is a class above the Pirates and has too much motivation to slip up now.Comment -

#19It is really REALLY tempting to go large on St. Johns!!! However I expected St. Johns to be favored by 8-10 points in this game.... makes me wonder what is it that the lines makers know that I don't ? This seems like it could be a trap. Seems too good to be true.Comment -

#20Johnnies are a hot team right now and -2 seems too easy, especially given that the game is not too far away in NJ. I'm on the St John for small.Comment -

#21I thought the same thing when I saw St Johns +7 at Villanova on Saturday too. This just seems too easy, Seton Hall is garbage.Comment -

#22In the last 3 games Seton lost, Pope fouled out. If the Johnnies can get Pope into foul trouble early this game is over. If the Hall can shut down Hardy then they win. In all the Johnnies games they have won, Hardy has scored in DD figures.Comment -

#23Gotta agree with taking St. Johns, in all likelyhood this will be a double digit win for St. Johns, they are coached too well to take it lightly, and unlike UNC who have players that will take plays off and be sloppy ( the Iverson personality) St Johns seems to play with more pride, unfortuantely the talent is still below some of those top tier but lazy teams so they will lose in the 2nd or 3rd round of the NCAA tournamentComment -
