I see why the line is at -11 BYU. With New Mexico only 1-4 their last 5. And 0-2 on the road in the span. And BYU on a roll right now. But New Mexico did beat BYU (86-77) back in Jan. New Mex has won the last three games between this two. I guess what I'm asking her is more than likely BYU wins this game. But with the big win over San Diego State. Do we see a lil let down here from BYU going into the conf tournament? And that allowing New Mexico to sneak inside the numbers here. Or does the revenge for BYU play too big a factor and the roll over the Lobos. Let me know what you guys think. GL today. Thanks!

The loss of Davies is huge. He was a big presence underneath. Good defender. Could get down the floor well for a big guy. Leading rebounder on the team. He also scored about 11 per game. He essentially was perfect for the game BYU was playing. Without him, it's going to be easier to cover Jimmer. Also, remember that BYU lost another big guy (Collinsworth) to an injury in January. They will now have to go with a smaller lineup, or go with a much lesser big. Not only is the loss on the court big, but psychologically this has to be weighing on everyone. The coach has said he is going to speak about the situation after the game tonight. BYU has excellent fans though, and they will get lots of raucus support. I don't know if NM keeps it close tonight, but I can't bet on BYU to cover this spread, even at home, tonight. If BYU just wins this one, it will be a testament to the quality of the team.Comment -
