Baylor +2.5, I think their length in their zone and on the board coupled with Dunn not wanting to his season to end in the NIT makes this a good spot for Baylor

BC +9 just a good spot for a let down from va tech. BC coming off a great final 25 minutes in VA and they need this game a lot more than tech. Tech also likes to play zone which fits BC's style to light it up from the outside. Wouldnt be suprised if they had a chance to win at the end

3 Team Moneyline Parlay---Florida, Oh St, and Purdue 1.3-1 odds....just three teams who i think are better than who they are playing and should all find ways to win outright.

Im going to add Va -1.5...think they bust out of the offensive slump...think tony bennetts to good of a coach to lose to a team at home thats on the same level as them

and im adding Vandy +8...this is a crafty team that finds ways to hang around...jenkins and taylor can literally carry a team and i dont think kentucky can keep both of them down.

Wednesdays Picks:
NC -2 They are just the better team, especially with marshall running the show. Combination of zellar, henson, and barnes is just to much for FSU who struggles to score without singleton. The only thing keeping this line low, is that they arent the best road team and they have the big showdown with duke on saturday. I think the price is just too good, and i think they are the better team

DePaul +4.5 Not really sure why just think depaul has been playing a lot better and especially at home. Melvin has really grown up as a player. I think them catching points at home is pretty good spot

TT -5--Just look at their last few games, this time is playing really good basketball, they are in games and even winning a few, on the other hand i think capel looks disinterested on the sidelines and is already looking ahead to next season with this one being a lost cause. Ill lay the points

Leaning WMU -4.5...they are playing solid ball including a blowout against rival eastern michigan....this game is for first place in the MAC and i think they will play lights out at home...the only thing holding me back is that Ball st plays pretty solid defense and has the potential to keep this one close and it could come down to knocking down foul shots at the end which is always nerve racking.

Moneyline parlay---Mich st, Richmond, Duke, Pitt, Kansas...i just cant see any of them losing and im getting 1.15-1 on the bet, ill take my chances...richmond and pitt on the road always is dicey but richmond sitting on the bubble has to be thinking if they lose they are out so i expect maximum effort

Im adding these to my leans opinions welcome--Duke -12 ...Senior night for smith and singler so coach K will play almost to the end. Duke is coming off a loss and the last two games after a loss this season they won by 16 and 18 points. The crazies will be going be off the chains tonight and i think they win going away with a patent duke run.

Kansas -13...kind of a long the same lines as duke, morningstar and reid are seniors and i expect big shooting games from them, and look at there last 5 home games since the loss to Texas, they have won by 20+ in every game and have looked very sharp and impressive...A&M can struggle to score at times, and this one could get out of hand early

Also leaning iowa st...they are very solid at home and colorado is coming off an emotional comeback win and is prime for a let down...

Please opinions on these three and western michigan...havent been able to make up my mind all day about these games

Ended up going with Western Mich and not iowa st...both looking good but a lot of game left in the WMU game. With Texas Tech looking solid i think i am going to make Kansas and Duke both plays based on above...good luck to all

Should have stuck with my original plays and it would have been a 4-0-1 night, thats the tough part about laying big numbers kansas pushed and duke lost by 1, overall still a good night

alright here we go thursday 3/3

Im going against the grain and taking seton hall +3 (im going to wait to see if i can get a higher number)
-Look at seton halls last few games, last three home games lost to gtown by 5, uconn by 2 and nova by 3...they also were beating notre dame at halftime on the road in their last game, and we saw what notre dame did to nova the other night.
As for St Johns they are as hot as any team in college basketball they are absolutely rolling over everyone, they have played the underdog roll to perfection this year and have played this us vs. the world mentality. Now all of a sudden experts have them winning the Big East tournament, i guess they are no longer the underdogs.
Here comes Hazell, Pope and Theodore playing there own underdog roll tonight, i think they pull the upset, ill take the points

Idaho -5.5--Idaho is returning home from a long road trip in which they faired pretty well. They have been a solid basketball team all year and even have a win over utah st on the resume. Fresno on the other hand has struggled all year and especially on the road, against the top 3 teams in the was this year they are losing by an average 13 points, including a 10 point loss earlier this year to idaho at home. Love the vandals in this spot

USC +4 this line is inflated because of the win against washington the other night...USC had some weird schedulilng quirks where they have played all of their road games in packs at least two at a time...looking at the first game of all of those trips they have been within 4 in everyone except oregon which they lost by 6...this is a team that plays great defense and this could be a rude awakening for washington st having come off a game against washington in which no defense was present.
They will be ready for clay thompson and i can see them stealing a win outright in this game

So Ill -1...Since Dec 20th Ill St hasnt had a win by more than 4 points...not saying so ill has lit the world on fire, i think in a game like this coaching will prevail and i think So Ill has the superior leader in this one and they will be ready to play

Coastal Carolina -8.5...this team has had a phenomenal season and has beaten VMI twice by double digits...when you have a team like VMI they usually struggle in the postseason and i dont think anything changes tonight, this is a home game for coastal and i think they cruise

1 pick to start the day sorry its late i had to actually teach today...GA St +1...souly basing this on the fact the they fired there coach and usually that lights a fire under the asses of the players. As a coach the best run I had was when i took over midseason for the varsity coach at the high school i was teaching at... the kids felt rejuvinated and we rolled off 6 in a row...hopefully ga st can follow suit...good luck to all

Probably my favorite time of year, love the conference tournaments, i have a lot of games especially for a friday night

Missouri St -11--there is no way this team doesnt come out today and take care of business, they handle so. ill both times they played and southern ill is very inept when it comes to offense, i think this game gets ugly early and often

N. Iowa +1.5, I know this isnt the same team as last year but the coach is there and some of the players remain, this guy obviously knows how to get a team ready to play in a big game situation and i can seem them knocking off creighton

App St -9.5--just a superior team i think this line is a little low ill lay the 9.5 and take my chances

Deleware +3.5 I guess im missing something they had a better conference and overall record than northeaster...and they beat them twice during the year. i know there is alwasy the revenge factor but ill take my points in this one

Cleve St -3...Norris Cole is what im betting on here...they have had a rough stretch to finish the season but i think they will bring it together tonight and beat a team they already beat twice in teh regular season

Valpo -2.5...they are the better team and i think come tourny time i think they will outlast Detroit

Morehead st -2.5---Love this game, they are a tournament team and they have been hot, other than the loss to Murray St this team has been rolling, they are primed to win this tourny and they take care of business tonight

Elon -4...better team and they are playing well as of late...this is a good number to get elon at

Ind St -4...again i like this game, this team has had some impressive wins this year and can really get it going, i think tonight is a 10+ point win for the the sycamores.


This is a lot more games than i usually take but i could pick and choose..i have ga st pending and i am still evaluating the two mac games, i like both kent st and mia oh, so opinions are welcome

Alright here we go

RIchmond -3.5..Dequense is running out of steam as the season winds down and Richmond MUST have this game to even be considered for the tournament, add in home court i think its a no brainer

Clemson-3.5...they are a good home team and va tech might hvae spent there load against duke...clemson prides itself on defense and andre young and stitt on offense i think they can get this one by 6 or more

Mizzu +4...they a great at home and that place will be rocking ill take the points with the home dog in a rivalry

Ill -5.5 (1st half) they are quick starters in every game and they have to have this one i think they jump on them early...indiana may cover the number for the game just not the first half

ML Parlay..Memphis, Pitt, Illinois, Purdue, Temple...all home teams but purdue and i cant see purdue losing to iowa they are too good...getting 1.25 to 1 on my money, i like that...w

early games looking decent with illinois already cashing easily...got a lot of early afternoon action here

TT +10...this is a gutty team who plays extremely hard and can score points, they have also played great down the stretch and i think they will keep it within the number with roberson and company

Mich pk...huge game for michigan and they are at home, this is not the same mich st team that everyone keeps waiting to turn it on..they have been horrible on the road and i think there struggles continue

W. Mich-2..this is probably the hottest team in the MAC and they are rolling, i think they keep it going to day against an inferior team

Cincy-4...they play great defense and gtown is offensively inept without wright...in addition cincy needs this one to remain in the tourny where as gtown is just trying to get healthy

OK St---oklahoma has quit playing and ok st plays hard every night out both of those things equals win for ok st

Marquette ML--i know seton hall had a great win the other night, but i think marquette is extrememly talented and have more weapons than the hall, i also love buzz willliams and his guys will be ready to roll today

UCLA -2.5, they have been solid and without thompson i just dont know where the scoring will come from, the only thing that makes me nervous here is why the line has stayed so low

ND +3...this team can play any style they want and are really intelligent i can see the slowing this game down and they have a much better half court offense than uconn who is a one trick pony...if they can keep the huskies off the glass they win outright.

wow what a start to the day, 3-0-1 in the early games with a miracle push from missouri...so far in the afternoon games 4 and 1 with st peters looking good and vcu primed to make a run...

7-1-1 so far today and have been pretty solid with my rationales will be back soon with the rest of the slate
