Is Bama ML worth a shot?
They're currently first in the not so great division of the SEC but I have not gotten the opportunity to watch this squad yet. Looking at their schedule, it appears that they are very competitive with some good wins and close losses to quality opponents. I'm thinking they cover this number against Florida tonight (who despite their record, I don't really think is that great of a team) but just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on them and this matchup. Anything you guys can tell me that I should know about the Tide?

The only thing Alabama has going for them is that South Carolina won at the O-Dome earlier this season. That's about as much respect as I'd give any SEC West team this year.

Bama head coach Anthony Grant was an assistant on both Florida NCAA Championship teams under Billy Donovan. Both coaches run the same on-ball screen offenses about 90% of the time. Everyone is clamoring this total is way too low. Since all these kids see the same plays in practice everyday, I look for this game to be alot closer to the total than people think. Each team should be able to take away the other's first option, which should lead to longer possessions and thus fewer total possessions. I think the Under is worth a look, though I also thought Texas would defend KState last night.

I've watched alot of Bama games since they're local. If Bama even remotely has a chance to win tonight, the home town refs will make sure they don't. I'm a die hard Auburn fan and Bamas our arch rivals but Ive gotta say...they have been screwed by the refs at Vandy and at Ole Miss and Bama was lucky to squeak by Auburn on a buzzer beater tip in. Ole Miss and Auburn figured out that a Zone D will eat Bama's lunch because they have no skill on the outside shots. Most of their strength is in transition. If Florida can get back on D, play a tight zone with double teams, they win this game hands down. And if Florida watches film like I'm sure they do, they know this. Now Bama may beat the spread but they won't win the game.

watched florida last saturday, even though they lost they looked pretty good. It was a pretty fast paced game. Missed too many baskets inside, game should've had a closer outcome. If anything, I'd take take them at home Straight Up. But again it's another day and another game.

Since this is a home game I think Florida covers. Florida goes on a run in the second half to cover. If Florida was at Alabama I would def go ml Alabama
