    Monday's 2 Big Games
    Nova(+4.5) @ The Irish and K-State(+9.5) @ Texas.

I'm leaning Notre Dame and Texas but not really sure if I will play them. I'd have to think a lot of people will love Kansas State getting all those points especially considering their strong play of late but I think this is a good spot for the Longhorns to get back on track. What does everyone think?

I like the ND play. Nova has lost 9 of last 10 ATS and ND has been solid at home. I might just watch the Texas game. Public probably will be all over the 9.5 points, so you're probably on the right side.

Its shocking but lost in the fact that Texas gave up 58 second half points to Colorado is the fact that they are supposed to have the nation's #1 defense. At home they shouldn't have a problem with K-State but I still cannot in good conscience trust a Rick Barnes coached team.

Nova coming off 2 loses at home and now go on the road to play one of the best teams in the nation. Everything points to the Irish taking care of buisness but Nova might actually show up and want this game even more. I say take Nova ML.

Texas should beat K State and I wouldn't be surprised if they covered the -9. Texas is coming off a game where they were up by double digits at the half. They might come out and jump on K State early and never look back.

Why is the Villanova line this low,,,,Ranked team at home vs a team that looks bad

Notre Dame for mine to cover easily. I'll probably stay off the Texas match...

Does anybody else find it peculiar that Nova has only been an underdog twice this year? Playing in the Big East, with a 21-8 record? They've only been underdogs twice this year (both on the road) and they covered both times, winning one outright and losing the other in UCONN by a bucket. Might explain their ATS record. They only other team that has been close to being a favorite as many times as Nova in the Big East is PiTT (being an underdog 3 times and a pick once).

I'm just looking at the numbers here and thinking that Nova might have a shot to win this game outright or at least make it close

I can't back them right now. A couple weeks ago I accepted the fact that they are not a very good team. Books are still giving them some love here but they shouldn't.

I'm liking Texas more and more. K-State is due for a bad game.

line is way too high for texas. 9.5 is a lot for this close of a game

Think K-State is going to cover, Texas will win but not going to run away with it, not a fan of betting Big East games, but do like ND to take care of it

K-State is dropping. Down to 8.5 at a lot of shops. We should keep an eye on this.

I lean to ND, hard to back 'Nova, a team that is stuggling... vs a ND unit that is on a mission, hitting on all 8 cylinders. I do not think the problem with Villanova is just a letdown (lack of defensive intenisty is the classic sign of a team that is coasting)... their key guards are not shooting well and there are other problems.
                                So ND -4.5.
On the other hand, I think the problem with Texas WAS a letdown, they have it made, stopped playing with defensive intensity in the 2nd half. I would sure think they will come out FIRED UP after being scolded for their collapse and win the first half tonite minus 5 pts... whether they hang on to cover the 9 pts for the whole game is more questionable.
                                Tex -5, 1st half and / or Texas - 2.5 first 10 minutes.

wow, Mr. Serbone! very articulate, and right on time! I'm going ND ATS light, ND ML heavy, and TEX -5 1st half light. KST +9 is looking better to me now than it did when I first woke up this morning, though...
