    Pitt wins BIG tonight
This is one of the better rivalries in college basketball. West Virginia simply isn't that great of a team though. They fight and claw and sometimes they are able to grind out a win against a better team when they are on their homecourt but all in all, they are overachievers. This is a great bounce-back spot for Pitt. They lost a tough one at Madison Square Garden to the Johnnies on Saturday but there were some very good signs. Namely, Ashton Gibbs looked great coming back from injury.

I really don't see this game being close at all. Pitt has one of the best homecourt advantages in college basketball and i fully expect the Panthers to get right back on track and dominate from start to finish.

    Pittsburgh -8 (5x)

I don't know, i'm sure you could find it somewhere. I know that they lost to Tennessee and Notre Dame at home though this year but both were extremely uncharacteristic given Pitt's history, specifically recent history, as one of the premier home teams in the game.

This is far from a "square" play. Action is much closer to split on this than you think. I expect about 55% of the public to be on Pitt. But let's not get so caught up on the whole "square" thing; Pitt is the play.

There's conflicting numbers... I'm seeing 57% currently at some other sites.

"-8 is a lot" will be the general consensus of a lot of people.

If you are not playing depaul or USF -8 is alot.

It wil be the general consensus, b/c its the truth. Doenst mean WVU covers, but -8 is alot in a conference where most of the teams run hot, and cold.

A solid majority of bets is on Pitt, but in light of the line movement, from -7.5 to -8, I'm not seeing the play on Pitt as square. I think Pitt rolls at home tonight after the loss at St. Johns. It's surprising that the leader of the Big East is ranked only #4 or #6. I think Pitt has something to say about that.

Pitt isn't a great home team, no Big East team is this season. Rivalry game, WVU building momentum of a big win, Pitt slipping and looking very beatable.

                        Avoid.

Pitt is 6-1 at home in conference and they lost to SJU by one and they are slipping. And they have Gibbs back tonight.

Pitt is 6-1 at home in last 7 games.

2-3 ATS when giving 8+ points.
