How good are these lines makers ? I would have never thought most people would be willing to look past wvu recent woes, and take a flyer on them to beat ND tomorrow. After looking through this thread, and reading around though the fact they make wvu 4 point favorites doesn't surprise me at all. Maybe a lot of that has to do with many thinking ND is overrated as well ? Either way... I would have never guessed it, but they seemed to nail it for sure.

The two games that WVU lost at home (St. Johns 81 - 71 & Pitt 71 - 66), they got murdered on the boards. Negative 9 and 14 rebounding margin respectively. The big question is, will ND be able to win the rebounding battle? Just looking at the home/away statistics WVU holds better numbers in this area. Defensive rebound margin is +.7 in WVU's favor, which looks pretty even. But the offensive rebound margin is very lopsided. WVU has a +9 margin on the offensive glass, which translates into 9 more shot opportunities. Adding in that ND scores about 8 or 9 points below their season average on the road, and allows teams to have a higher FG% when playing away from home, this could be a tight spot for ND.

Also, with Carleton Scott potentially out with a hamstring injury, ND rebounding effort becomes even more strained. Puts a lot of pressure on Abromaitis and Cooley to clean up a lot of the mess on the glass.
