i like Illini and the over - Illinois, 75-67. Illinois certainly doesn't have a big as good as JaJuan Johnson (who does? - other than Kansas, Ohio State or Wisconsin, there are few teams who have a big even close to Johnson's class), but what the Illini have is decent size, athleticism and depth inside to stay with Johnson and outstanding perimeter defense to keep Purdue from busting a bunch of threes when Johnson passes out of the double-team. statistically, Purdue doesn't have much of an edge in any category, and Illinois' depth gives them a slight edge (when they need a bucket, Purdue will go to Johnson or Moore; when Illinois needs one, they can go to McCamey, Davis, Tisdale, Richmond). Illinois' 3PT defense is the biggest statistical edge in this game.

The key will be McCamey taking care of the ball, he's turned it over way too many times this year. Weber seemed to get his attention by benching him at the start vs Minnesota, but he was still too careless with the ball.

I like Purdue in this one. Illinois certainly has the size to deal with Johnson, but I don't think Tisdale and Davis possess the athleticism to guard him all over the court.

Purdue by 6-9 points. It was mentioned earlier in the thread that Illinois has no answer for JaJuan and thats true. Illinois' best player, McCamey will be held i n check by Etwan as Purdue wins comfortably.
