ODU at VCU what am I missing here?

VCU -3 seems like a gift of all gifts. They beat ODU earlier at their place by 9. VCU hasn't lost at home all season. ODU has really struggled on the road in conference play this year.

ODU is 0-5 ATS and SU when dogged by 3 or less points and playing at VCU since 2002. This has VCU written all over it, but the only thing holding me back is that ODU and VCU have split their regular season series since 2005. But given a nationally televised game and sellout home crowd, I'll take a chance with VCU.

ODU can't play up to the challenge on the road against good teams. They played George Mason last week and got beat by 17 points. VCU is a tough place to play obviously as they are unbeaten at home and I really can't see how ODU keeps this one close as the spread suggests. I say the line goes up to 4 before tip off so grab what you can now......
Revenge game for ODU but they are in a hostile environment and will need to get clutch plays down the stretch which I cant see happening.
VCU can put up points in a hurry so if ODU struggles to score there defense has to step up big time. Big test.

George Mason was favoured to win by -4.5 last week against ODU. I think the line of -3 for VCU is a touch to low imo..... I really can't see VCU losing this game and the ML play could be better option if you want.

I think ODU could win this game straight up. ODU is looking for revenge plus ODU may need this game a tad bit more to keep pace for a possible at large bid if they don't win the conference tournament. The only thing that scares me is ODU has had some suspect games on the road.

I went VCU -3.5 on the 2nd half... CAA games usually get close
So i basically get VCU +4.5 for the game.
